End of the Month/Beginning of Month? Lush Haul

Good morning, dear readers!! :D

Yesterday I had the good fortune to be able to visit a Lush store, with my sister and one of my best friends.

I live outside of the city now, and getting to a Lush location can be a lot of work (I don't drive, the bus system in my area is almost non-exsistant, and the two different Lush stores in the nearby city take at least 45 minutes to get to by car).

I ususally go to the Lush in the Byward Market in Ottawa, but this time I went to the St. Laurent location, which is situated in the St. Laurent mall.

A part of me almost felt like I was 'cheating' on the other location (heehee!), because over Facebook I was building a rapport with the lovely employees there (here's looking at you, Amanda!).

However, my lovely friend drove us to the store, and the St. Laurent location is much easier for her to get to.  I definitely can't complain about getting a ride!!! :D (Thank you again so much, Robyn!!)

I had only been to this location once before, and it was the first Lush location where I was able to go into the store and buy products.  The very first time I came across Lush, it was in the Byward Market, and as I was walking with family members who couldn't stand the extreme fragrance of the store (yay for less packaging!), I had to leave right after getting there.  That was around a decade ago O_O!  I can't believe it took me so long to go back!

Anyway!  I had a great experience at this store, and the sales associates were so lovely and helpful!  (Don't you just love when they give you a hand massage?  Eee, I could almost melt! XD)

I kinda bought a lot of stuff... and because of that, I will have no extra money for at least another month.  (I don't really go out and do things like restaraunts, pubs, drinking alcohol, clubs, movies, etc.. so my money goes to Lush.  I also want to quit smoking so I don't have any money left for cigarettes.)

Okay, now on to the haul:

:'D...I may have gotten a few things... :'D...

Most of these I have never used before, so I am excited to do some reviews on them once I try them out.  That is one of the things I love most about hauls (other than getting awesome products to use): reviewing them! :D

So here is what I was able to pick up:

Ro's Argan body conditioner
Turkish Delight shower smoothie (I actually will have to return this one, the scent is not for me)
2 Rose Jam Bubbleroons
2 Geophyzz bath bombs/ballistics
Ceridwen's Cauldron bath melt
Big solid conditioner
Shine So Bright hair treatment
Ultrabalm all purpose balm
Ambrosia shaving cream
Shimmy Shimmy massage bar
Rock Your Body Kit, which contained:
-Vanilla Puff body powder (they were out of Lustre, sad face!)
-Wiccy massage bar
-Dream cream (a small pot)
-Sugar Scrub

I also got three samples, which were:
Trichomania solid shampoo
Helping Hands hand cream
Creme Anglais hand and body lotion

I also got these lovely face masks (one was free, because I returned 5 empty pots):

Aaaand, I finally got one of these:

YAY a Lush bag!! :D  I always wanted one, and the Byward Market store had run out.  The St. Laurent location had one left, and I snatched it up quick! :D  Muahahahaha!!!  The quality of the bag is really great, and I look forward to using it as my purse! >:D

I really cannot get enough of Lush.  It is a serious obsession of mine now, and I maaay have converted a couple people to the wonders of Lush... (*wink wink, Leah and Robyn!* ;) XD)

If I didn't live so far away with no transportation and if I didn't have debilitating mental illness, I would put my resume in there so fast (especially now that the Byward Market location is hiring for the holiday season).  I could seriously talk about Lush for hours (and I have!).  I think that one of the reasons why I obsess over Lush products (other than their quality are awesomeness) is because of my OCD.  When I am really excited about something I seriously cannot get it out of my head.  I still have trouble sleeping on Christmas Eve and the day before my birthday.  I am already planning my next trip to Lush. XD

We spent about an hour in the store, and I could have stayed longer.  I was so excited, and I probably let out some squeals of happiness as we wandered around the gorgeous displays.  My sister was laughing when we left the store, because I was all like "that was amazing!!".  XD  I LOVE shopping there!

Are you a fan of any of these products?  If you have tried them and liked them (or tried them and didn't), let me know below! :D  (Eheheh that rhymed!)

Have a super awesome day!

Lush Sea Spray Hair Mist

Good morning, dear readers! :D

Today I have a review of Lush Sea Spray Hair Mist:

I got this for my birthday, and I am so glad I did!! :D

This spray has a light gel built into it, so it is great for giving you a soft hold in your hair.  Not enough for fancy hairdo's, but enough to tame frizz.

Here is the description:

Our sea salt, sea water and seaweed spritz holds hair in place, adds shine and gives body for a beach-beautiful look. A gorgeous orange flower, grapefruit, neroli and rosewood blend perfumes the spray. It smells so divine, we've been spritzing it in our hair just to smell the fragrance! Use anytime you want to refresh, re-style or add some volume, texture and shine.

The scent of this is ah.may.zing!!  Seriously, I cannot get enough of it!  The website says it is a neroli perfume, along with grapefruit, orange flower and rosewood.  I cannot smell any grapefruit in it (which is great for me because I hate it!), but I also cannot pick out just one scent in it.  Most people who smelled my hair after I used this had different opinions on what it smelled like.  Out of all the people who took a whiff of my locks, 100% really liked the fragrance. :D  (Do note that this scent is not mild, and it will stay with you for hours.)

Here is the list of ingredients from the website:

Carrageenan Extract (Chondrus crispus) , Sea Water , SD Alcohol ,Glycerine , Fine Sea Salt (Sodium Chloride) , PVP , Fragrance ,*Limonene , *Linalool , Neroli Oil (Citrus Aurantium amara) ,Grapefruit Oil (Citrus paradisi) , Rosewood oil (Aniba rosaeodora) ,Hydroxcitronellal , Geraniol , *Citral , *Farnesol , *Benzyl Benzoate ,Methylparaben

This retails for $12.95 Can for a 100 ml bottle.  It sounds like not very much, but I find I use around 4 sprays at a time, so it will last me while.

This is great for just after I wash my hair, as it helps tame the frizzy poofyness my clean hair has, while perfuming it with goodness.  It makes my hair look much healthier.

I will definately repurchase this, and I think it is worth every penny that was spent on it.

Have you tried Sea Spray?  If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Have a lovely day!! :D

OMG Nail Strips Review

Good morning, dear readers! :D

A little while ago I was contacted by OMG Nail Strips, and asked if I would like to try out their product for a review.  I said yes, and chose the Red Snowflake design (as I love winter and Christmas!! :D).

Each pack comes with 14 nails strips (2 each of 7 different sizes).

The instructions are very clear, and easy to do:

Now I didn't follow all of these directions.  I basically softened my cuticles, pushed them back, then skipped the moisturizing stage and went straight to applying these stickers to my dry nails.

This is a slightly different application method, where you use nail polish remover lightly on the strips to better adhere them to the nails, but I went with the instructions I received with the strips.

While it took a bit for me to get the hang of applying these (I have never been that good at using nail stickers), I found them to be really easy to use!!

Unlike a lot of nail strips on the market, these are very thin and are very flexible.  As you can see in my photos below, I accidentally stretched the first strip I put on (on the ring finger), and I also accidentally got some ink stuck to the strip before using a top coat (calligraphy-related).  This is them right after application:

Here is what they looked like on day 4:

I did not touch these up (they don't say that you have to on the package but I find that if you keep touching up your top coat these can last a lot longer), and I know that they could have stayed on for several more days.  I only wore these for 4 days because I love changing my nail polish, and was craving something new.

I wore these strips while rinsing out my hair dye, doing dishes, hand washing, bathing, etc....

Some of these were too big for my nails, so I had to trim them down.  Trimming them was so easy!! :D

I have to say that I was really impressed with these strips, and I would definitely wear them again!!  I have never been a huge fan of nail strips because I usually found them to be a bit tricky (and thick!), but these were almost a dream to apply.  Because of the thinness and elasticity of the strips, there was barely any buckling (except at the tips), and when it did buckle I could smooth it down significantly.

If you are interested in using any nail strips, I really recommend these!! :D

OMG Nail Strips are currently on sale for 4 packs for $20.00
You can find the OMG Nail Strips Facebook page here.

Have you used any of their products before?

Have a wonderful day!! :D

Yay Fun Weekend

Good morning, dear readers! :D

I hope that you have been having an awesome weekend so far!

Yesterday I was able to go into town and visit some friends that I hadn't seen in over a year.  We went out to a bar and we stayed there until closing time (after 2 a.m.!).  I think I got home at around 3 in the morning, so I was really tired when I got back XD.

While it will be a bit for me to have another nail-related post (I am currently reviewing some nail strips so I am waiting with them on my nails to see how long they last), I wanted to write something for my blog, as I have been really busy this past week.

Question: do any of you lovely people know of some good cruelty-free sunscreen?  I have the most finicky skin ever, and every sunscreen I use breaks me out :(.  I want to wear protection but I can't seem to find something that doesn't cover me in blockages the day after.

I wish Lush made a sunscreen!  I cannot believe how many products I use have been replaced by Lush products!  (Little did I know when I entered that Lush store at the beginning of the year that I would get a full-blown Lush addiction.)

I found an interesting article about some common beauty myths.  I have read elsewhere as well that you don't need a cream specifically for the eye area, which is great.  I am huge on skincare, but there are so many confusing aspects of it for me.  For years I had the notion that more expensive = better for your skin, and that is not always the case.

I really need to quit smoking again, and this time to try and stay on a diet and not replace cigarettes with food.  I can't believe that I have been a smoker for 15 years already O_O!!  Uuugh!  The last time I quit smoking I went for about 5 months, but started smoking again after gaining weight.  I have an electronic cigarette, but to be honest it doesn't have the same throat hit as an actual cigarette, so I don't use it as much as I should.

Oh!  I also got the new Lush Times in the mail a couple days ago.  To all of you fellow Canadians, they are bringing back Let the Good Times Roll permanently (well, as permanent as Lush products can be XD).  A kettle-corn inspired face wash would be amazing for the autumn!!!  I can't wait to try it! :D  I also wanted to mention that that was the only new product listed in there, as the fall and winter collections are not listed.  I hope that they bring back Ghost shower gel for fall (lily-scented shower gel?  Yes please!).  So while this issue isn't as product-oriented as I would usually prefer, it does have some super awesome articles about recycling, bee-keeping, bullying and other subjects.  I definitely suggest giving it a read if you get the chance.

Anyway, I wanted to check in and I hope that you have a super great day!! :D

Lush Christmas 2013 Sneak Peek

Good morning, dear readers!

Today I was on the Lush area of Reddit, and came across this article, which has a few snippets of what Lush will be offering for the holiday season.

Noriko (soap)
Sandy Santa (sugar scrub)
Snow Globe (soap)
Candy Mountain (bubble bar)

Mr. Punch (soap)

Woo!!!  There may be more on the table, but I can't see a perfect view of it.

I know I am really excited about this collection!  Anything you are looking forward to picking up?

Have a great morning!

Edit: I found more photos and added the new products to the list above.

New photo!
New photo!
New photo!

EDIT: I have contacted Lush customer service, and they have stated that they are not 100% sure of what will definitely be released.  So although I am pretty sure that these are a safe bet, be aware that for some reason they may decide to change their mind about some of these offerings.

Sunday Visit With Friends

Good morning, dear readers! :D

How was your weekend?  Mine was quite good!! :D

Health-wise I have been feeling not too bad for the last 3 or 4 days, which is absolutely awesome!  A part of me is waiting for the shoe to drop and for me to feel bad again, but I have to try to stay positive and take it one day at a time (sometimes one hour at a time, or one minute at a time).  My sister has also been ill lately, and thankfully was feeling a bit better yesterday, which makes me very happy.  I really hate watching loved ones suffer and not being able to do much about it.  I would take their illnesses into myself if it would only give them some relief. :(

On Friday, I visited with a few friends, and did the same on Sunday.

My lovely friend whom I had not seen in months visited me, and she brought me presents and cake! XD  The cake was a Japanese-style cheesecake, and it was demolished pretty fast XD!

Earlier this month I had my birthday, but due to several reasons she wasn't able to make it to my get-together.  She brought me a lovely bag filled with goodies:

There were some super delicious milky green tea candies, which I now LOVE:

(Seriously, these things are like slightly hardened toffee, but with an amazing green tea flavour!)

And adorable Japanese birthday card that I could actually remember how to read despite my memory issues:

(It says "o-tanjoubi omedetou" = a polite happy birthday)

and this lovely Nail Up magazine:

First of all I have to say that I LOVE Japanese magazines!!  They are such better quality than the ones I find here in Canada (they are larger, more durable and have such lovely, glossy covers!).  My friend went to Japan a few months ago and was so sweet enough to pick this up for me!  She knows how much I love these nail magazines (I have a few more Japanese magazines from her), and being Japanese, she can translate anything in them for me :D.

Thank you so much Tomoko!!!  You are such a wonderful friend and I am so fortunate to have met you!! :'D  I cannot thank you enough for your friendship and kindness all of these years (can you believe it has been 7 already?!)

Speaking of friends, my other friend Robyn has been visiting with my sister and I a lot in the last past week or so, which is awesome!  Although we have always lived very close together, we rarely got the chance to hang out over the years outside of school.  While she will be going back to University in the fall, we are doing a lot of catching up and it has been really wonderful!  She is hilarious and sweet, and I couldn't ask for a more lovely friend! :D  Yesterday evening the three of us (her, my sister and I) were going through old notes and letters we had written to each other in school over ten years ago.  It's amazing that we have known each other for over 20 years now!!  Where does the time go?

I hope that you (my dearest readers!) have had a great weekend as well!

Take care and have an amazing day! :D

Jack Frost Inspired Gradient

Good morning, dear readers!

A couple days ago my sister and I watched Rise of the Guardians (such a good movie!!), and I was inspired by Jack Frost:

So, using my newest additions to my polish collection (Zoya Nyx and O.P.I Solitaire), I made this gradient:

Have you seen Rise of the Guardians?  I think it was really well made and I will be watching it again :D!

Have a lovely day!

Lush Blousey Review

Good morning, dear readers!

Today I am writing a review on Lush's most recent shampoo addition: Blousey.

Blousey is meant for dry and damaged hair.  It is also meant for use with colour-treated hair, as it is said to not strip hair dye.

Here is the Lush website description:

Here is our gentle, non-stripping shampoo for damaged, over-processed, colored, bleached and fragile hair. It cleanses hair in the gentlest way, while locking in moisture with a huge helping of mashed-up fresh bananas, cocoa and cupuacu butters. These rich, nourishing and softening ingredients help bring damaged hair back to life and keep your locks in top shape.
Blousey has a very peculiar scent, which Lush says reminds them of 'big, blousey flowers'.  Blousey (spelled blousy when I looked it up) means 'resembling or characteristic of a blouse', so basically looking like loose folds of fabric.  I don't like the scent of Blousey much while it is in the pot, but once it is on my hair I love it!  It reminds me of a particular gum found in Canada called Thrills, which is known for tasting like soap (it is flavoured with rose water, and that give it a very interesting taste).  Blousey contains rose oil, so I guess that contributes to the scent (although it doesn't smell like traditional rose).

The scent is one of those that people generally love or hate, so I would highly recommend taking a sniff test in the store (preferably asking the sales rep if you can use some on your hands to get a more accurate scent).  I find that the scent lasts most of the day on my hair (which is saying a lot, since most shampoos don't do that with me), so just be aware that if you do not like the scent, that it will stay with you for a while after you wash.

Now onto the good stuff!

I absolutely love this shampoo!  It is now my favourite shampoo to use.  It makes my hair so much softer and more manageable.  I don't even need to use conditioner when I use Blousey, as it moisturizes my hair so much!  I have veeeery dry hair, as it has been bleached at least 3 times and dyed several times.  Because of that I guess I can really notice a difference in my hair when I use it.

I have a lot of hairs on my head, but the follicles are thin, so they tangle all of the time.  Even if I have just combed my hair, if I drag a brush or comb through it right after it will still tangle.  Blousey has reduced the amount of tangling a significant amount, and for that I am so grateful! :D

I find that my red and purple hair dye washes out at the same speed as a regular shampoo, so I cannot attest to the claim that Blousey will not strip hair dye.  I know that of all the hair dyes red has the largest particle size, so that contributes to how fast it rinses out of hair, so maybe black and brown hair dyes will not rinse out as much with this shampoo?

A quarter of each pot of Blousey is banana (yay banana!).  It also has a lot of other interesting ingredients, including:
-clove and star anise decoction
-rosemary oil
-cupuacu butter
-thyme oil
-juniper berry oil
-cocoa butter

I will be honest and say that I have read a lot of mixed reviews about this shampoo.  From what I can see most people either love it or hate it.  Thankfully, I am one of the former. :D  Unfortunately, like many of Lush's items, it is rather expensive.  Here in Canada a 240 gram pot costs $25.95.  Ouch!  But, it makes my hair so lovely I will definitely repurchase when I have the extra money for it.

Blousey does not foam up like a regular shampoo.  It can produce foam when you are washing your hair, but only very minimally.  For that reason a lot of people end up using more product than what is needed to clean the hair.  I think it is trial and error, since I constantly worry that I don't have enough shampoo in my hair, only to find that it has cleaned my hair beautifully.  So be careful with that as well (we don't want to waste any of this precious shampoo!).

A lot of people do not like the fact that it comes in a pot, because (especially in the shower) this can allow water to get into the product.  Scooping it out with wet fingers also deposits a small amount of water in the jar, and having such a large opening can mean more chances of spilling the product.  Despite all that I must say that I am a huge fan of Lush's pots, despite possible contamination (of water or bacteria).  It is just a preference of mine, and I know that a lot of people do not share it.  Other than bringing back 5 pots to get a free fresh face mask, I find that if I decide to keep them, they make the most handy containers for a variety of things! :D

Another thing to note is that you need to rinse your hair very well, as there are the typical brown bits from bananas in this, so you want to make sure that you get them all out (unless you don't care, and that's cool).

All in all I give this shampoo a very enthusiastic thumbs up, and I will definitely repurchase this.  If you are curious about this product, I recommend heading over to your nearest Lush store and getting a sample.

(Also: Blousey is vegan, and like all Lush products, animal cruelty-free!)

Have you used Blousey before?  Would you ever consider giving it a try?

Have a lovely day!!

Born Pretty Store Acrylic Powder and Mold Review

Good afternoon, dear readers!

Today I have a review of a few products that were sent to me by Born Pretty Store.

I was sent this lovely set of acrylic powders:

There are 18 different acrylic powders in this set.  When I first opened the package there was some powder that had 'leaked' on the different pots, but I wiped that up before I took photos.

I am not a fan of the screw on lids for these pots, as they collect powder in the ridges and when you open them the powder can fall out.  For that reason I would suggest using a piece of paper or something under the pots when you open them.

Other than that, there isn't that much product in each pot, but to be honest this whole set costs less than $10, and I am not complaining! :D You get a wonderful set of different colours, and enough product of each to try them out and see how you like them.  (Tip: this set does not come with the fluid needed to mix with the acrylic powder, so you have to either order that separately or provide your own.  I knew this before getting it, and already had my own fluid)

As someone who doesn't do the standard acrylic nail, I really like having this set for adding accents to my nail art!!  :D

I was also sent these two 3D art acrylic molds:

One is for making bows, and the other for making stars and moons:

These are fantastic!! :D  They are made from a flexible and durable material (silicone maybe?), and they work really well!  They are also inexpensive and very easy to clean.

Here are some decorations I made using the molds and the powdered acrylic:

I find that the acrylic powder, when combined with my current acrylic fluid, dries a bit slower than the powder I already owned.  Also I find it a bit more 'goopey'.  However, it is a very fine powder, and didn't produce excess grit when mixing.  The colours are vibrant and beautiful, and I look forward to making more accents with them :D!

Here are some of the bows I made:

I waited too long to be able to scrape away the excess acrylic from the molds (sometimes when it has begun to set but not completely hardened you can scrape your nails around the edges to help remove the excess), so I used a blade to cut around the edges of the individual bows.  The bow on the bottom isn't finished, so it looks more rough.

Here is a set of nails I did using the moons and stars as accents:

And here I am wearing them (forgive the middle nail, I cannot get a good match of false nails to fit the dimensions of my middle finger nail):

The glitter on the stars was added after, as the acrylic powders do not contain glitter.

My final verdict?  All of these products are great!! :D

The molds work really well and will last me quite a while, and the acrylic powder sets nicely and has a great range of colours.  Although the pots aren't full to the top I think that the amount you get is perfect for testing out what colours you like, and for making accents for nails.

I hope in the future I can get more acrylic powder and molds.

I also think I will mix some of my translucent acrylic powder (that I already had) with these colours, to make them more pale and help them last longer.  I will let you know how that goes! :D

Birthday Lush Haul

Good morning, dear readers!

I hope that everyone has been having a great week so far! :D

Last week I was able to go to Lush (yay!!!!) and pick up some products for my birthday. :'D A lot of this was from my family, and a bit was from me:

EEEE!!! :'D So excited!!!  Although I got it early, I waited until my actual birthday to use any of it.

I was able to get:
3 (!!) Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds bubble bars (I can't get enough of these)
Geophyzz bath bomb/ballistic
Brazened Honey fresh face mask
Oatifix fresh face mask (I just can't get enough of these!  Every time I go there I get one, and I keep them in my freezer so I have three in there right now lol!)
Charity Pot moisturizer
Sympathy for the Skin moisturizer
Godiva solid shampoo
Sea Spray hair spray
Honey Trap lip balm
Blousey shampoo
Honey I Washed the Kids soap
Alkmaar soap
Angels on Bare Skin face wash
Breath of Fresh Air toner

I also got a Dragon's Egg bath bomb, Avobath bath bomb and a Seanick solid shampoo for my sister.

A lot of these I got because they are now staples in my bathing and beauty routines, but a few of these are new purchases for me, like Blousey (I tried a sample and really wanted to try it again), Brazened Honey mask, Geophyzz, Alkmaar soap and Sea Spray.  I will be doing reviews on these soon. :D

Thank you to my family so much!!!

Are there any Lush products that fit staple status in your beauty routines?  It feels like I am slowly exchanging almost all the products I use to Lush (except face cream, because the ones I tried from them didn't work for me).

Have a wonderful day!!

Super Awesome Birthday!

Good morning, dear readers! :D

I wanted to thank my family, friends, and all of my lovely readers, for the wonderful birthday I had on Monday.  I am 28 now, and to be honest I don't feel any different, as I thought for most of last year that I already was 28 XD.

Cute Google birthday thingy XD

My birthday was sort of spread out over two days, as on Sunday we had a great BBQ and cake, and the next day was very relaxing.  I wanted to celebrate on Sunday instead of Monday (my actual birthday), so people could have an extra day between partying and going back to work (Monday was a civic holiday).

My sister made me an awesomely adorable spice cake with star sprinkles all over it XD.

I had been getting birthday gifts for at least a week or two leading up to my birthday, as my family and I are really bad about giving gifts early instead of waiting (which I am happy about hehehe :D).  I will be getting another gift today, if it comes in the mail (woohoo!).

For my birthday I got:
money (yaaaay!!  Lol)
Lush bath products (woooo!)
a meteorite (O_O!! A FREAKING METEORITE!!)
a "black cherry" Furby (this is so incredibly adorable, I can't even say :'D)
a dress (so beautiful and rainbow coloured!!!)
a shirt (so beautiful!!  And blue!)
the 4th Song of Ice and Fire book (I can't wait to read it!)
Reddit gold (aww yeah!)
Color and Light by James Gurney (So excited to read this! :D)
a beautiful card (I collect cards :D)

I am so incredibly thankful I can't even say!!!

I want to do some separate posts (like a separate post on the meteorite, Furby, my Lush haul etc.) because I believe that the amazing gifts I got are deserving of their own spotlight.  In no way am I trying to be like 'oh, here is what I got, I rock and I have the best things so yeah', I just want to show my full appreciation for what I have been so blessed to get.  I really cannot say how thankful I am about everything!  I am so lucky to have such caring and loving friends and family.

Thank YOU, all my wonderful readers, for being with me on this blogging journey.  I hope to get back into the swing of things now, and really amp up my posting and blog presence.

I (and many of my loved ones) have been going through a lot of things lately (mental illnesses mainly), and in part because of that, I have been neglecting my blog and creative endeavors.  I want to get back to posting more regularly, about a whole wide range of topics.

I have been slowly losing readers over the last while, which I am guessing is both from my absence and my different types of blog posts.  I can understand that, and I know that most of my readers signed on to follow my blog when I was heavily into nail polish and nail art, so that is what they want to see.

I will continue to do posts like this (I enjoy them! :D) but I want to branch out more and write about other topics that really interest me and have a place close to my heart.  My blog was originally going to be about art in general, and anything I wrote about that striked my fancy.  I just happened to stumble upon the amazingness that is nail art and polish, and so for a couple years almost all of my posts were based on those topics.

Although a part of me feels bad (it always sucks to lose readers) that I am not focusing on what my readers want most, I feel that this blog is an extension of myself and to be really fulfilling I should write about what I am most passionate about at the time, whether it be cosmetics, art, books, or anything else.

Thank you so incredibly much! :D  I hope that this year will be amazing (for all my loved ones!), and that I continue to learn and grow.  While a lot of people dread getting older, I think it isn't so bad. :) Sure I may start getting wrinkles soon and more grey hairs, but I will also get more time to spend with loved ones, more experiences to enjoy, and more knowledge.  I think that is a pretty darn fair trade off! XD

Take care, my friends!

(P.S. I had photos from the dinner and of the cake and stuff, but then I accidentally deleted them.  :(  Sad face!)

Sparkle Nails

Good afternoon, dear readers!

Tomorrow is my birthday, but we are celebrating it with a BBQ today (so people can have alcohol etc. before having to go to work on Tuesday, as Monday is a civic holiday).  I got some truly amazing things for my birthday that I am so grateful for, and I am so happy to spend time with my loved ones. :D
