Blue and Gold Gradient

Good morning, dear readers!

Today I have a gradient, with one of my favourite shades of blue: Cult Nails Manipulative.

For the gold tips I used Orly Halo along with Orly Luxe and Orly Glittering Gold (from their Instant Artist line).  I used the same for the half moons, only I added some gold paint.  I added a touch of gold paint to the very tips of my nails but I don't think it was really visible.

I hope that you have a great day!!

Treasures by Tan Purple Rain and Bubble Gum Blast (Lots of Photos!)

Good morning, dear readers!! :D

Today I am excited to show you two polishes that were sent to me for review, from Tanya over at Treasures by Tan.

First up is a beautiful light purple duochrome holo, called Purple Rain:

This is so beautiful!!  The formula was very smooth and applied lovely!  I had to include both flash and non-flash photos so you could see the holo effect, which doesn't show through on non-flash photos.  Also, I have a unique bottle of Purple Rain (yay for unique!! :D), because Tanya changed the Spectraflair to grade 35 instead of the grade14 she used here.  The 35 grade Spectraflair gives off a more strong holographic effect. :D

Next up is the awesome Bubble Gum Blast:

Here is three coats of Bubble Gum Blast with no undies:

Here is two coats of Bubble Gum Blast over Purple Rain:

This is a bubble gum scented polish, and as someone who usually avoids scented polishes, I have to say that I am so pleased with this one!!!  It seriously smells like delicious bubble gum, and I really enjoy that scent! :D It also isn't overpowering at all.  Bubble Gum Blast has gorgeous glitters in varying sizes and shades of pink, and also contains smaller iridescent glitter.  It is a stunning topper and I am so lucky to have it added to my collection!! :D  (Although there had to be a bit of placing for the big glitter, this was really easy to apply.)

Not only are the polishes absolutely lovely and of great quality, but Tanya really takes the time to make sure that your polishes arrive to you both safely and beautifully:

Thank you so much Tanya for these wonderful polishes!!! :D

You can find her Etsy shop here
and her Facebook page here.

I hope you have a wonderful day!! :D

(P.S. have any of you tried any Treasures by Tan polishes?  If so, let me know below! :D)

Twinsie Tuesday - Polish Picked by Someone Else

Good morning, dear readers!

I know I am posting this really really early, but I will be leaving the house at around 7:30 a.m. (and I haven't gone to bed yet!), and I don't know when I will be back.  So without further ado, here are the polishes that my sister picked out for this edition of Twinsie Tuesday:

L: China Glaze Def Defying R: Color Club Endless Summer

My sister picked these out yesterday, and afterwards we realised it was Earth Day, so the colours went together really well. :D

Unfortunately I seem to have lost the ability to do gradients, so it isn't the smoothest transition between colours.

Don't forget to check out these awesome Twinsies and their posts for today!:

Born Pretty Store False Nail and Wax Rhinestone Picker Review

Good morning, dear readers!

Today I have a review on some products that were sent to me from the Born Pretty Store.

First up is the wax rhinestone picker:

I got sent two of these wax 'pencils', which you sharpen and use to pick up rhinestones.  These work wonderfully!! :D

After I sharpened one to reveal the wax, I warmed up the tip a bit and it picked up rhinestones with great ease.  This is seriously so handy for me, as I used to use a toothpick with a bit of clear polish at the end to pick up nail decorations.  When I used the toothpick, I had to keep applying the clear polish in order for it to be tacky enough to pick things up, and that could be a real pain.  These wax sticks are a really inexpensive tool that work beautifully, and I highly recommend them. :D (Note: if you sharpen yours and you find that it isn't picking things up, just warm up the wax tip a bit with your fingers and then it should work really well!)

Next up are these soft stiletto false nails:

They come in a big bag...

With smaller bags inside (each containing 50 nails), each labelled by their size number:

Here they are, arranged from size 0 to 9:

These are lovely to work with!  I enjoy their shape and that they aren't too long, so filing them down would be a cinch.

Here I kept their original size (with a bit of tip filing to get rid of irregularities):

(I am not the best at putting false nails on myself).

The rhinestones were applied using the wax rhinestone picker, which made the job much easier and faster.

So in total you get 500 false nails, which I know I will have a lot of fun using for future nail art designs. :D One thing to keep in mind is that they seem thinner (in width) than the other squared false nails I recieved from the Born Pretty Store, so if you have very wide thumb nails, it may be a bit tricky to find false nails big enough to cover them.  The thumb nail in the photos above is a size 0, so it is the largest out of the lot and just covered my thumb nail with little room to spare.  Also, some of the tips have bumps and dips on them, but they can be easily filed down.

I think these are wonderful to work with, and I look forward to experimenting with them in the future.

All in all I am extremely pleased with both of these products!! :D

I hope you have a wonderful day!!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that there is a 10% off code to the Born Pretty Store, which is CBJ61!! :D

Essence Vintage District

Good morning, dear readers!

Last week I was able to pick up a few Essence products, from their Vintage District collection.  I picked up two lovely nail polishes, a blush, and a gorgeous eye liner. :D

Here is the Antique Pink nail polish:

Here is Shopping @ Portobello Road:

The gel eyeliner I got was also in Shopping @ Portebello Road:

And last but not least... the blush, which was in It's Popul-Art:

It is a lovely peach with a thin, gold powder on top of the flower.  Underneath the gold is a lovely pink!

Here is a swatch of the peach, then the mixed gold, and then the pink:

And here is a swatch of the peach and pink:

Overall I really like this collection!  They had several other products in the display, but I think we got a small display because some of the other products weren't in it and didn't seem to have a place for them on the stand.

As a bonus, I believe all of the products were $4 or under (yay!!).

Have you tried any of the Essence Vintage District collection?

(This collection really reminds me of you, Jessica!! :D)

Have an awesome day!!
