Winter Morning - Franken

Good afternoon dear readers!

Another franken!!  I personally love this one!  It is called Winter Morning.

And here I added some of this gorgeous glitter franken that my sister made:

In real life you can see tiny holographic sparkles, but for some reason my camera didn't want to pick it up.  I love this combination! :D

Have a fantastic day! :D

Mermaid Nails

Good afternoon dear readers!

Here is what I am calling a mermaid manicure.  I started with some frankens as a base, and I used blues and greens for this look.  I used glitter, rhinestones, and shell pieces.

Please excuse the lonely glitter hiding under my pointer nail!  (And my dry skin!)

I hope you enjoyed this look (it was so fun to make! XD) :D

Have a wonderful day!

Pink Jelly Franken

Good morning, dear readers!

Today I wanted to show you another franken that I recently made.  It is a pink shimmery jelly with iridescent glitter and a few flakies.  :D

I really adore jellies!!  I also really adore glitter jellies! :D

I hope that you like this!

Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go Review

Hello dear readers!

Today I have a review of the Deborah Lippmann Stripper to Go Lavender Nail Lacquer Remover Finger Mitts *phew!*.

The wonderful people over at Nail Polish Canada were super kind and sent me six mitts, asking if I could do a review of them.  These retail for $12 per six mitts.  One mitt is said to remove all the nail polish on all ten fingers, including glitter (which is notoriously hard to remove).  They have lavender essential oil in them, so I found that they had a really lovely scent.

So, I was hyped up and ready to try these babies!

I wanted to give an accurate review, so I put 4 thin coats of glitter on my nails and top coat (on both hands).  I was pretty sure that these could remove regular cream nail polish, so I didn't bother with that.  I was going to really test these babies, and that meant glitter.  Aw yeah!  (Oh, and I didn't bother doing a neat job of applying the glitter, since the only reason I had it on was so I could take it off XD).

So here is the mitt:

And here is the first finger that I was cleaning:

Not too bad!! :D  (Just a warning, there is some liquid in the pouch that can pour out if you are not careful).

But... that was the end.  :'(

I really, REALLY wanted to like these.  The scent, while being quite lovely at first, started giving me a headache rather fast.  And the mitt just barely removed any more of my glitter.  Here is what I got after several minutes of scrubbing:

And when I was done and I couldn't use the mitt anymore since it stopped working and my head was hurting, this is the end result:

It looks almost exactly the same as the photo above!!  And here is a shot of my right hand, which I also tried the mitt on...

That was it.  This product is supposed to remove nail polish from all ten fingers, even if it is glitter polish.

So in short, I will have to say that this was a fail for me.  $12 is a lot for a product that doesn't work.  Now I have seen several other reviews where this product worked well for other people, but for some reason it just didn't like me.  I had to rinse my hands afterward to get rid of the headache inducing fragrance (which sucks, because it smelled really good!!).

So there you have it.

Such a shame, as the product idea was really smart, if not a bit expensive.

Have a wonderful day everyone! :D

(EDIT: I was asked to let you know that Nail Polish Canada also has other Deborah Lippmann items available, at :D)

OH POOP! - Twinsie Tuesday

Good morning, dear readers!

Today is Twinsie Tuesday, and this editions theme is a 'hyped-up polish'.  I didn't realize that this post was supposed to be about a hyped-up polish that didn't meet expectations.  I accidently made a post about a hyped-up polish that is awesome.  Oh well!

I have a swatch of the lovely Sinful Colors Cinderella, which is pretty popular right now, and rightly so.  I absolutely adore this colour, as this particular shade of blue is one of my favourites.  :D

I was lucky to get two bottles of this, but I decided to stop being selfish and send a bottle to someone whose favourite Disney movie was Cinderella.  But hey, if anyone wants to send this to me again, I won't complain! XD

Isn't she stunning??  A delicious light blue jelly with iridescent glass flecks that go from pink to gold.  Amazing.

For some reason there were a couple black spots that appeared (I don't know if it was in the polish or not).  But I don't mind!  I love this polish! :D

Don't forget to check out the other lovely ladies who are participating in Twinsie Tuesday:

Amanda at Amandalandish
Chelsea at Nailed Blog
Katherine at Haul of Fame
Marisa at Polish Obsession
Meredith at Polish and Charms
Rachel at Top Coat It
Sarah at See Sarah Swatch

Have a wonderful day everyone!! :D

My Nail Polish Collection

Good morning, dear readers! :D

Today I have some photos of my nail polish collection to show you.  I love looking at other bloggers collections, so I wanted to post mine too!

As it turns out, I have way more frankens that my sister and I made than regular polish!  Have a look below:

The top shelf holds some hand creams and nail art products (like glitters).  The second and third shelves are my regular polishes and frankens that have been sent to me.  The bottom three shelves are all frankens that either my sister or I made!!!  I have over 80 frankens! :O

Here is a closer look:

Top two shelves (art supplies, skin care and regular polish that I haven't altered :D)

Middle two shelves, the top having unaltered polishes and the bottom having my frankens.

Last two shelves, both containing only frankens.

I think my last count was 83 frankens that my sister and I made, and 50 regular polishes, and 4 top coat and base coat bottles.

I hope that you have a fantastic day! :D
