About Me

I love art!  I created this blog as a way to express my love for art, and my journey while learning.

In August 2011, I began to become very interested in nail polish.  This quickly became a new hobby of mine, as I enjoy painting colours and designs on my tiny canvases (nails ^-^).  The thrill of finding that new polish you have been searching for, the colours, finishes, and endless possibility of colour creation is amazing.  When you can fit your nails to your mood and change it whenever you like and get your idea across to others through this art form is an amazing feeling! :D  Being able to mix and create new polishes is a fantastic creative outlet!

However, this blog is not about nail art alone (although that seems to make up the majority of my posts! XD).  I will also include posts about paintings I am working on, pysanky that I am creating, and anything else that strikes my fancy at the time (generally art related ;)).

Here is some info about me, and not just the idea behind the blog:

I am 27 years old and am not regretting that age.  Every year brings more knowledge and experiences, and I intend to enjoy life no matter what age I am!  I do not cringe when my birthday rolls around; I embrace it (and jump around squealing like a 5 year old girl XD).

I absolutely LOVE reading!!  My favourite genres are fantasy, fiction and science fiction. 

I love music so much, and sing, play piano, and play the clarinet (although I haven't in a long time!).

I am a nerd.  I love me a good video game and comic! :D  I used to play Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!

Winter is my favourite season, and I love snow.  Christmas is my favourite holiday, and I love snow.  XD!

About my blog:

I do not Photoshop any of my photos.  I take a lot of photos and choose what I think are the best of the bunch, and post those.  I add a watermark (sometimes) in Microsoft Paint, but other than that my photos have not been re-touched.
