Freehand Japanese Edo Period Inspired Nails

Good afternoon again, dear readers! :D

I did this manicure today and was too excited to share it with you to wait.  ^-^  If you haven't seen them yet, please check out the adorable cherry nails in my last post that my sister did.  ^-^

So without further ado:

For these I did a base of Essie Sand Tropez.  I then used Konad white nail polish and non-toxic acrylic paint for the art (all freehand).  I used several layers of China Glaze Fast Forward top coat.

I hope that you enjoy these!!! :D

  9. Wonderful representation of the Edo Period. I'm so excited that you did these! The red around the eyes on the middle finger is great, but my favorite is the wave on your thumb!

  15. I especially love the mountain and the wave. You should try painting on a bigger canvas, I bet it would go well!

  18. @ Crystal: Thank you so much, those two nails are my favourite too! :D !! I have done Edo-style art on a larger canvas, and while not the best ever, it turned out much better than this LOL! XD It is quite a challenge making things this small. XD

@ hollysagemini: Thank you so much!!! :D Me too! Hokusai is one of my favourite Japanese artists.
